Top End, NT
The Top End is almost instantly associative with Australia. Unique, cultural, breathtaking, it’s an unforgetable and uncomparable destination.
With ancient rockart, stunning escarpments and some lurking wildlife that has outlived the Jurassic period, our Wild Basil sneaks under the radar and now finds a comfortable home within our gin.
For all of its ruggedness and bravado the Top End has delivered Gindu a pleasant aroma with subtle flavours.
Not unlike the locals of the Top End, its warmth embraces you year-round.
Who doesn’t love Basil?
The Australian Wild Basil variant is a hardy plant growing predominantly in the NT and Western Queensland. It is widely available and used extensively in cooking.
Its flavour is a real combination of basil, sage and mint and in fact the early settlers called it the 5 spice plant due its broad flavour profile.
It offers Gindu a mild spicy herbal undertone that balances and complements the other botanticals.
An Australian Gin
Subtle juniper combined with floral notes of lemon and lime from Australian botanicals, balanced with a delicate herbal, earthy palate and a lingering spicy finish. A gin that will embrace a light tonic.
Gindu is about discovery. The chance to discover more of our great land, be inspired by stunning landscapes, and savour unique Australian botanicals. Our inaugural distillation is our first step in roaming far and wide, and to include the botanicals that appeal through their flavour profile and amazing stories.
This isn’t just our gin, it’s yours.
