Hinterland, QLD

The Queensland hinterland, home to ancient volcanic peaks and lush rainforests.

The backbone to the East Coast, the 2000 km-long hinterland has its own natural charm, with bushwalks, picturesque waterfalls and endless scenic lookouts.

A café lifestyle and noted artistic hotspot, the serenity of the Queensland’s Hinterland is sure to wash over you, allowing you to slow down to a more leisurely Queensland pace.

Amongst the rainforest canopy, expect to discover the ubiqituous Lemon Myrtle; a fragrant and instantly recognisable citral that provides the necessary zest to our Australian Gin.

Lemon Myrtle

Backhousia citriodora

Another iconic Australian native plant.

Lemon Myrtle has one of the highest concentrations of citral in the world. Hence, this is our “lemony” element.

However, this is a complex lemon flavour and with higher oil content than citrus fruits, its impact on Gindu is more subtle and smooth in nature.

An Australian Gin

Subtle juniper combined with floral notes of lemon and lime from Australian botanicals, balanced with a delicate herbal, earthy palate and a lingering spicy finish. A gin that will embrace a light tonic.

Gindu is about discovery. The chance to discover more of our great land, be inspired by stunning landscapes, and savour unique Australian botanicals. Our inaugural distillation is our first step in roaming far and wide, and to include the botanicals that appeal through their flavour profile and amazing stories.

This isn’t just our gin, it’s yours.
